The Bread Factory Complex, La panificadora, linked to the consolidated front of Street Alfonso XII, is a key part of the city, due to both its size and its location on the top part of the old town. Nowaday this extended area is a barrier that prevents the functional connection and permeability between the center and start point of the expansion of city from the City Hall. The opportunity to re-order the site and propose facilities for the citizens, makes it possible to imagine that what currently is a wasted island in the central area of the city can turn into a rich leisure and services space, which can serve as a link between historical elements and of new expansion; a meeting place for central city areas.
